Junior Sergeant Tauno Kähönen, born in Terijoki (now Zelenogorsk) parish on Karelian Isthmus, took part in both Winter and Continuation wars. He served subsequently in JP1 (1st Jaeger Battalion), JR 45 and JR 4 (45th and 4th Infantry Regiments). During the war he was awarded with Medals of Freedom 1st and 2nd Degree. He passed away in 2000. There are some 200 pictures from Continuation War in his collection. It is likely that most of the pictures were taken by Mr. Kähönen's comrade, as there is a Finnish NCO appearing at several pictures. There is only one picture dated back to pre-Winter War times:

This is Terijoki (now Zelenogorsk) Suojeluskunta (Home Guard), of which Mr Kähönen was part.
WARNING! SOME OF THE IMAGES ARE NOT NICE, SIGNS FOR THE PICTURES MIGHT SOUND OFFENSIVE TO RUSSIAN AUDIENCE (THEY WERE MADE DURING THE WAR, WHEN THERE WAS NO TALK ABOUT POLITICAL CORRECTNESS)
ALL THE PICTURES ARE PUBLISHED FOR THE FIRST TIME
