2 MG flank firing bunker at Ilves village

The bunker is located in some 150 meters to the east from Ilves village under electric powerline and is always easy to spot. This is a standard bunker for flanking fire for 2 MGs and was heavily damaged during the assault. One can see the hole in the front wall made by several diret hits of heavy shells. Wall of the bunker with gunports for close combat is partially preserved.

The frontal wall of the bunker, facing the enemy. Note the huge boulders protecting the wall from the grenage fire. Also note that at the top the rocks are knocked off and there is a break in the wall.

Inside the bunker. Two of the four gunports for light MG/SMG protecting the entrance are intact.

The wing wall protecting the main gunport of the bunker, direction of fire - towards the highway. Note that there are at least 2 hits.
