Salmenkaita Bunker No. 36

This is a large shelter, without armoured cupola. During the fighting the bunker received several direct hits from heavy artillery but could still be used as a shelter for the men of the 8th and 9th Company, 6th Infantry Regiment. On February 26 the Red Army infantry managed to approach the bunker under cover of a rolling barrage and placed a red banner on its top, but were soon repelled by the Finnish infantry.
