These two old frontal-firing bunkers are located right on the shore of Salmenkaita river. On February 21 the bunkers were besieged by the Red Army units that managed to cross the river under the cover of a snowstorm. Later in the evening at least one of the bunekrs was destroyed by a satchel charge. Out of 12 Finnish men who defended the bunkers only few survived, most were killed in that battle. Now the bunkers are completely destroyed.
