The bunker was originally built
in 1920s and later rebuilt in a shelter. The bunker is located in some 100 meters
westwards from Sk2 bunker, north from the anti-tank ditch. The bunker was codenamed
Bunker No. 44 by Red Army troops of the 100th Division. The bunker is mentioned
in account of Captain Sipovich,
commander of the 2nd Battalion, 355th Rifle Regiment, 100th Rifle Division.
Now the bunker looks like a small
hill with a big explosion crater in the middle and some pieces of concrete.
If you do not see the Model 1940 Russian helmet with a hole from a splinter
when you get there, it simply means that someone took it as a souvenir.
