Muolaanjärvi lake and Suursaari island

Muolaanjärvi lake - now called Glubokoe lake (Deeplake, translated from Russian), is one of the largest lakes on the Karelian Isthmus and probably one of the most beautiful ones.

On the picture you can see central part of the lake and Suursaari (now called Stereguschi, the Guarding island). The island had a small Finnish garrison during Winter War, as Red Army units tried to advance forward on the ice of the lake.
