Bunker Sn2

The bunker is identical to bunker Sn1. Sn2 bunker is flank-firing MG caponier that could fire in directions of both Sn1 and Sn7 bunkers. Area between the two pairs of casemates was used for accommodation. Judging by the condition of the casemates, the bunker received very little damage, if any, during the Winter War.

View of the two eastern casemates of Sn2. Note the blown-up gunports. The central part of the bunker destroyed by explosion from inside, and virtually does not exist now. Roof of the accommodation chambers flew off, part of it landing on the western casemate and flanking protetion wall.

View of western casemate and MG gunport. The fragment of the roof that fell on the casemate made a good shelter from rain - dry fur-tree branches on the foreground are bed of some mushroom-picker or Winter War history enthusiast who stayed here overnight.

Entrance to the western part of the bunker. Note the additional gunport for close-combat on the wall of the casemate and a gunport for protection of the door inside the bunker. Bricks that are lying inside the bunker are pieces of stove that was used for heating and cooking.
